The Advantage Learning Solutions location in Sherwood has been merged with the Leavitt Machinery Edmonton Training Center. Everything you need to know about the consolidation is right here.

When did the consolidation take place?

This consolidation has taken place as of March 2021. Note that all training classes previously offered at the Sherwood location will be moved to the Edmonton Training Center.

What was the reason for this consolidation?

The consolidation occurred in an effort to provide a convenient all-in-one training location. At the Edmonton training center, you’ll be able to receive training and certification for all of our in-class courses.

Where is the Edmonton Training Center Located?

The Edmonton Training Center is located at 15712-112 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T5M 2W1 and is conveniently in the North West Edmonton area. This means it is just a 30-minute drive from Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove.

Will any of the courses offered be affected because of this consolidation?

Training courses will NOT be affected. All of the Sherwood Park location’s courses will be relocated to the Edmonton Training Center. The Edmonton training center will be an all-in-one location for in-class safety training and heavy equipment training.

Are Online Courses Affected?

All online courses will remain the same. This consolidation will have no affect on any online courses.

How Large is the Edmonton Training Centre?

The Total Area of the Edmonton Training Center is 13,548 square feet. It has three cutting-edge classrooms as well as indoor and outdoor locations for equipment training. However, most equipment training courses are held indoors so that the participants can train in a controlled setting. This also has the added benefit of protecting everyone from the weather. Please note some courses must be done outside due to CSA standards and other requirements.

What courses does the Edmonton Training Center offer?

All of the courses that were formerly offered at the Sherwood Park Location are not available at the Edmonton Training Center. We no provide both heavy equipment training and in-class courses in one place!

How many courses are usually offered each day?

We can have up to seven courses running each day during the busy months. The busy months are usually mid-February to the end of May, as well as October to November. These courses cover both classroom theory and hands-on equipment training. During the less busy months we will typically run 2 courses each day.

How many times a week do you run each course?

Depending on the demand, the frequency of the courses can vary. More popular courses such as forklift Training may be offered three or four times each week. Other courses like Confined Space Training and Fall Protection can be scheduled up to twice a week.

What do I need to bring with me to class?

You will be required to bring a valid piece of government ID and face coverings. If you’re participating in any equipment training courses, you will be required to wear steel-toed work boots and proper work attire for the weather. If you are not able to meet these requirements you will need to rebook (there is a 75$ rescheduling fee). While “loaners” are available we recommend bringing your own hi-vis vest, hard hat, eye protection, and gloves.

When I arrive for an equipment training course, how do I sign in?

Because there are no administrators on site and instructors are unable to process payments and registrations, it is important that you confirm your booking by calling customer care before you arrive.

What is the cancellation policy?
