This online boom truck operator awareness training is designed to provide operators with the knowledge they need for safe operation. Content consists of procedures for proper safety inspections, maintenance guidelines, and how to read load charts. Upon completion of this course, operators will have a solid understanding of the theory behind boom truck operation.
Leavitt Machinery is recognized by the International Competency and Assessment Board (I-CAB) for their expertise in this subject. This ensures that all course content is relevant, up to date, and easy to understand.
While this course touches on some items related to rigging, it is recommended that operators also complete Rigging (Basic), Rigging (Intermediate) or Rigging and Slinging (Advanced) in conjunction with it.

Boom Truck Operator Awareness Duration
This online boom truck course takes roughly 2 hours to complete. As an online course, it can be started, paused, and resumed as needed.
Assessment and Certification
Testing occurs at the end of this online boom truck course to reinforce the knowledge presented. Participants must achieve a mark of at least 80% on this test to pass. 2 additional attempts will be granted if this score is not obtained on the first attempt. Various materials can be accessed online to further reinforce the knowledge presented in this boom truck operator awareness course. Upon scoring at least 80%, a certificate of completion will be made available for printing.
