This online first aid course is designed to help participants learn how to respond appropriately emergency health situations. The content of this online first aid training is intended to teach basic first aid only. It is not meant to serve as a substitute for full first aid and CPR programs. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify situations that require first aid response.
  • Assess an environment for safety.
  • Prioritize and apply first aid measures.
  • Evaluate appropriate responses for a person in distress.
  • Select a person to assist (if other people are available).
  • Effectively communicate with 911 and EMS personnel.
  • Summarize the importance of company emergency plans, policies, and procedures.

Online First Aid Course Topics

Online First Aid Training Duration

This online first aid training requires roughly 1 hour to complete. As an online course, it can be started, paused, and resumed as needed.

Assessment and Completion

This online first aid course features testing throughout the content to reinforce the user’s knowledge. A score of at least 80% must be achieved on these questions to pass the course. Two additional attempts will be granted if this mark is not met on the first attempt. Upon successfully passing the course, participants are awarded with a certificate of completion. This certificate can be downloaded and printed if desired.
